Zone Magazine Issue 014 February 2017

Well Folks, back again with another huge issue! With so much happening in the world of Electronic music, across Ireland & the world, we endeavour to capture as much as we can for you to feast your ears & eyes on!

PDF book on demand

In our interviews in this issue, we talk to cover man, and one of the hardest working artists in the dance music scene, Alejandro AKA Croatia Squad. In the western world of heavyset wobbles and bass-filled 808s, a subtle house producer finds himself making waves as fanatics cling to his ever-progressing sound. Alejandro, better known as “Croatia Squad,” is a Swiss-born nu-disco specialist whose incisive kicks, brisk hi-hats, and rolling plucks have set fire to the American dance music scene.

Next up, from the UK, is Saytek. It’s pretty hard to have grown up with an interest in electronic music and not have heard of Saytek. He has gathered some serious momentum over the last few years and has become one of the electronic music scene’s most in-demand live acts.

We talk to, UK based We take Polaroids. With a brand new We Take Polaroids single releasing this month, Mark Zowie talks about JULA. His latest incarnation. A record label for like-minded artists and unashamedly, for his own We Take Polaroids, Mark Zowie and Monzza output.

From the Netherlands, we talk about Dyro. 24-year-old Jordy van Egmond is riding high on a wave of success of late with tracks coming out on his own WOLV label and a string of highly credible appearances at some of the world’s top events under his belt and his own syndicated radio show, things are definitely on the up and up for the Dutch powerhouse.

DJ Rae, from the UK, is rising fast. Rae is a unique combination of singer-songwriter, DJ, remixer and producer who has carved out a niche in the dance music scene for herself through the time honoured tradition of talent and hard graft. She first made a name for herself in 2008 as the vocalist and songwriter for Kings Of Tomorrow’s anthem ‘Can’t Stop’ and since then has gone on to work with many top producers while all the time DJing at some of the best clubs in the world.

We have a special exclusive interview with the guys over at Evermix. Evermix is a brand new digital music platform. Evermix enables DJ’s to connect with their fans and followers through the recording of their music sets. Giving you direct access to a catalogue of sets to re-listen to, re-live and share with your friends. Whether you were at the club, you knew someone who was, or you’ve just heard about an epic set from one of your favourite DJs, with Evermix, music lives on.

In our label spotlight, we chat to new kids on the block Fade to Funk, from the UK. And in our artist spotlight, we speak to Andy Beck.

Adding to all this we have our “The best sets on the net“, and our ‘Studio Tipps 004” – How to keep motivated!

In our festival reviews, we check out Snowglobe, and the mighty Groovecruise with a special feature of a very personal experience.

As if all that was not enough, of course, we have our regular reviews and charts from the talented and dynamic Zone crew.

Also this issue we continue Zone Magazine’s FREE exclusive DJ Mix series. We also have our FREE gifts from Function Loops, 2 sample packs each issue, all you need to do is purchase our cool publication and/or sign up to our newsletter!
